Exercises with sirens and blue lights

The industrial emergency response team is initiating a series of exercises involving full emergency response with blue lights and sirens. Emergency services will also be involved.

The industrial emergency exercises will take place every Thursday, with the first exercise on 4th of April. The final exercise is scheduled to be moved to Wednesday, May 8th.

"The exercises will occur between 1200 and approximately 1300. The surroundings may be somewhat affected, with noise, restricted areas, and more emergency vehicles in action," say Christian Valand, leader at Avarn Security Beredskap AS, and Marit Bredesen, HSE Manager at Herøya Industripark AS, and coordinator of the Industrial Emergency Response.

"The area will be cordoned off and marked with 'Exercise in Progress' signs."
