All households in the Grenland area will soon receive a new emergency preparedness brochure produced through a collaboration between the region’s municipalities, emergency services and other preparedness partners.
It complements the shared Emergency Preparedness Information Grenland website launched in 2024.
The brochure and website offers practical advice on how residents can prepare for and respond to crises, including information on local risks, warning systems, emergency contacts and actions to take during events such as power outages, water shortages or floods.
Replaces the previous "Naboinformasjon"
"The printed brochure replaces the previous local industry “Naboinformasjon” leaflet and aims to help people look after themselves and others in an emergency," says Marit Bredesen, head of HSE&Q at Herøya Industripark AS and coordinator for the Industrial emergency response team.
Please note that the brochure is in Norwegian only, but versions in a number of other languages are available online via the Grenland preparedness website.
