Hydro's ambitious HalZero project has had a significant increase in recruitment. To accommodate the growing project team, the company has now moved into modern, refurbished office spaces in Herøya Forskningspark.
Hydro is developing an entirely new production process for primary aluminium, HalZero, which emits oxygen instead of CO2. The research is being carried out at Herøya.

Space to thrive in
On Wednesday, Malin Alette B. Lervåg, Operations Manager of the HalZero project, opened the new offices for her colleagues and welcomed them with cake.
"It's fantastic to be able to welcome you to our new home. I'm so pleased that we're finally here. We have everything we need here to work efficiently and thrive," said Lervåg.
The employees expressed great enthusiasm for the new facilities as they explored the space and found their new desks.
The new offices offer flexible workspaces, several meeting rooms, and a central social area with a kitchen, designed to encourage collaboration and wellbeing among staff.
International environment
With employees from seven different nations, the project team has a distinctly international character, and the project management emphasises the importance of the specialised expertise they have recruited.
The HalZero project continues to grow, and with the new offices, they are well-equipped for future development.
